Johnny Knoxville Set To Fight For A Title At WrestleMania 38

Jackass star Johnny Knoxville is expected to perform at WrestleMania 38 in April, and the movie star could even be fighting for one of WWE's most prestigious titles.

At the Royal Rumble this year, Knoxville, a lifelong WWE fan, was one of the entrants, as Brock Lesnar won his second 'Rumble,' 19 years after the first.

The 50-year-old lasted less than a minute and a half and was 'eliminated' from the match by WWE Superstar Sami Zayn and the pair have been in a feud ever since, with Zayn even turning up to the Jackass Forever premiere.

Knoxville is expected to face the former NXT Champion at 'Mania' this year and, there's about to be a massive WWE spoiler so if you're not into that kind of thing you might want to turn away now, it could be with championship gold on the line.

This Friday's edition of SmackDown isn't as live as usual, with the promotion having to pre record the show, and Zayn won the Intercontinental Championship from Shinsuke Nakamura during the tapings, not the former Celtic player.

Celebrities have been performing in big fights at WrestleMania since the first one in 1985, when Mr T was in the main event tagging with Hulk Hogan.

The difference for Knoxville will be that they rarely compete for titles, even fighters such as Floyd Mayweather and Tyson Fury didn't fight for gold during their stints with the company.

The event is set to be held over two days, for the third year in-a-row, which means that the exact date that Knockville will be competing isn't known yet.

Whilst it is the third time the show will be on multiple days, having previously been held over just one year for 35 years, it is the first time there will be a full crowd.
