Joey Veerman tells Rangers it was PSV domination but fires loaded bullet straight into his OWN dressing room

Irked Joey Veerman has told Rangers that PSV controlled their Champions League first leg showdown at Ibrox - before taking aim at his own teammates.

The 24-year-old was left reeling after being knocked out of Europe's elite competition at the same stage last term - claiming that the Scottish Premiership side didn't deserve their spot in the group stage following Antonio Colak's decisive second leg goal in Eindhoven. And it was a case of deja vu for the playmaker who was left frustrated by PSV 's display - insisting that they had all of the ball from the 15 minute mark in Govan.

Veerman, who was previously on Rangers radar as a transfer target, didn't stop there in a stinging interview as he called out the squad for not pushing forward enough during the clash. The frustrated midfielder told Dutch outlet VTBL after the full-time whistle: “We had the ball for 90 minutes - maybe after the first fifteen minutes we controlled the game. We had opportunities, but not real opportunities.

"That is becoming a repetitive story, we are not just one man in the sixteen. We have many players who would like to have the ball, but too little going forward. We have to work on that."
