Jeremy Doku admission gives Jack Grealish more cause for concern over Man City spot
As though not content with yet another fine start to a season that will likely end with more glimmering silverware, Manchester City supporters are once again at rage with debate about a player's quality.
Last season it was Ederson coming in for some unfair criticism and this time around, Jack Grealish has been on the sharp end of the stick. The winger, who was so integral to last season's treble triumph, has had his qualities and value to the City side questioned. An unrest which Pep Guardiola has helped stoke with Grealish's removal from the starting XI.
Though there have been minor injury trouble that kept him out of action for three games, Grealish now hasn't started a Premier League match since August and has been picked in the side just four times in all competitions. It's clear the No.10 has once again found himself out of the manager's strongest side and has a fight on his hands to get back in. Because of Jeremy Doku.

The reason the blowback has been so feisty in Grealish's direction is because Doku has proven himself to be such a thrilling alternative. While Grealish sacrificed a lot of the flair and ingenuity that made him so exciting for Aston Villa in favour of being a conservative keeper of possession - for the immense benefit of the team - Doku has been allowed to keep and embrace all his verve.
Rather than turning back and keeping the ball moving, every time Doku gets on the ball he is only looking one way. Forwards. There is a palpable change in the atmosphere whenever the Belgian gets on the ball. An anticpation. An electricity. The sounds of thousands
