Jeanfield Swifts send out rallying call and hope bumper crowd can inspire Scottish Cup success against Brechin

Jeanfield Swifts secretary Scott Cummings has sent out the rallying call to the people of Perth ahead of Saturday’s Scottish Cup crunch.

Highland League high-flyers Brechin City are the visitors to the Riverside for a first round fixture which kicks-off at the earlier time of 12.30pm.

Swifts are again dreaming of a run deep into the famous competition and Cummings would love for locals to get right behind the team.

“It would be great if we could get as many people down to the Riverside as possible,” Cummings explained to the PA.

Adults ticket prices come in at just £6 while concessions can gain entry to the match for only £3. Those under the age of 16 walk in for free.

St Johnstone manager Callum Davidson voiced his support for Swifts ahead of their date with destiny and wished them well.

“It’s great for Jeanfield Swifts and great for the city of Perth,” Davidson told the PA.

“Hopefully they get a good support and can
