Jean Michael Seri sends defiant message to Fulham fans

Seri has had a mixed time with the club since his arrival in 2018, having underwhelmed before going out on loan to the likes of Galatasaray and Bordeaux.

But he has proven himself this season as a useful asset to Marco Silva’s side as the club chase a third promotion in recent years.

Seri has given his full commitment to the side, and has claimed he is giving Fulham’s promotion challenge his total focus.

Seri’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and his future at the club remains uncertain.

But he wants to do everything he can to help the club get back to the top flight at the first time of asking following their relegation last season.

“The last two times Fulham got promoted was by the Play-Offs, but this year we want it to be different,” wrote Seri, via the Fulham official website. 

“We want to dominate the league, we have a feeling that we want to be Champions. Not just get promoted, we want to be Champions.

“That’s the main thing that’s changed in our mentality. If you say you want to be perfect, for sure you can be good. If you say that you want to be good, you might end up only being medium.

“That mentality to be perfect is something we have to put into every game.”

Fulham likely won’t need the play-offs this time to achieve promotion, as long as Silva’s side maintain their form to the end of the season.

But staying in the Premier League is a whole other beast and it remains to be seen if Seri will stick around to find out what he can do for the club at that level.

Fulham next play Cardiff City in the Welsh capital on February 26.

At 30-years old, it is hard to see a reasonable argument for the club keeping Seri as they go into the Premier League.
