Jean-Clair Todibo makes Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos revelation amid Man United transfer links

Jean-Clair Todibo has opened up on how Sir Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos run Nice as the defender continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United.

Various reports have claimed that the French centre-back could move to United this summer. Nice-owned Ineos have taken control of football operations at Old Trafford, leading to some suggestions that the 24-year-old will make a seamless transfer to Manchester.

Todibo has recently opened on his future, admitting that talks had taken place. Tottenham have also been linked with the former Barcelona, Benfica and Schalke defender who made 33 appearances for Nice across all competitions last season.

And Todibo's current club have enjoyed a positive season in France's Ligue 1 under Ineos, finishing fifth. When asked by the Mail about Ineos’s influence at Nice, he said: "They bring a winning mentality. They changed a lot of things.

"They give us a comfort so there is a mood around the team to allow the team to succeed. They put a lot of importance on being around the players, to give them the opportunity to have the best performance they can. Sir Jim — he speaks and jokes with the players. And then there’s Dave [Brailsford].

"For Dave, every detail is important. He talks a lot about that, all he thinks about is performance. His experience in cycling means he knows a lot about sporting performance. People say you can’t transfer cycling to football but it’s the same thing.
