Janette Manrara defended by fans over how she dresses daughter after sweet 'working mum' update

Janette Manrara's fans have rushed to her defence after she was criticised for the way she chooses to dress her daughter. The Strictly Come Dancing star took to social media to share a sweet 'working mum' update after returning to her presenting job on the dance show's spin-off It Takes Two.

She is now co-hosting with Fleur East following Rylan Clark's decision to quit the role earlier this year. And the pair kicked off the BBC2 weekday show on Monday (September 26) together before Janette took on Wednesday and Thursday's shows on her own.

It has meant though that Janette has had to spend some time away from her baby daughter, Lyra, whom she welcomed into the world back in July with her husband Aljaz Skorjanec. On Instagram, Aljaz shared how she'd been away for 24 hours, the longest the new mum has been away from her first child since her arrival.

But Janette, 39, couldn't hide her joy as Aljaz made the journey from their Cheshire home down to London to join her behind the scenes. Taking to her Instagram Story, Strictly's former professional dancer showed how the team had given Lyra her own dressing room with her name on a gold star on the door.

She later shared a picture of her holding on to her two-month-old daughter. Janette could be seen smiling for the camera as her little one rested on her chest, sporting a personalised white cardigan with her name emblazoned on the back in pink. She could be seen behind the scenes as the Strictly couples' pictures could be seen on the wall.
