Jamie Carragher vs Usain Bolt: Liverpool legend reacts to Jamaican's pace at Soccer Aid

Usain Bolt’s Rest of the World XI beat England’s XI on penalties to win Soccer Aid for the fourth consecutive time on Sunday.

Celebrities and former professional footballers rose more than £15 million for UNICEF after an entertaining afternoon at the London Stadium.

Social media personality, Noah Beck, put the Rest of the World ahead in the first half before celebrity Mark Wright equalised for England from the penalty spot.

Musician Tom Grennan gave England the lead in the second half but reality TV star, Kem Cetinay made it 2-2.

So it came down to the lottery of penalties and England suffered more heartache from the spot.

Grennan and comedian Russell Howard were unable to score which left fellow comedian Lee Mack the opportunity to win it for the Rest of the World – something he managed with aplomb.

While the football was entertaining, the most important part of the day was the money raised for UNICEF that will go towards helping Ukraine.

But there was still an opportunity for a few laughs in east London.

And Bolt, who won three gold medals in this very stadium 10 years previously, provided us with a comical moment that included Jamie Carragher.

Carragher and his Sky Sports co-pundit Gary Neville attempted to defend against the fastest man in history and, to their credit, kept him relatively quiet.

But Carragher and Neville – who weren’t the quickest at the peak of their careers – did get caught out on a few occasions by the Jamaican.

And there was one hilarious moment in the first half as Bolt got the wrong side of Carragher with a turn of pace. Unfortunately, the sprinter was unable to control the ball in his stride which allowed the Liverpool legend to get back and tackle him.
