James Garner: Man Utd loanee's superb highlights vs Liverpool in FA Cup

Liverpool are through to the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the first time since 2015.

Jurgen Klopp’s side booked yet another day at Wembley Stadium with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.

A second half goal from Diogo Jota that came just minutes after Philip Zinckernagel missed a sitter for the hosts was enough to secure victory.

Liverpool, who were without both Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, struggled at times in the match and Forest will feel they should have scored at least one goal.

The Championship side performed very well on the day, with Manchester United loanee James Garner more than holding his own in midfield.

In fact, Garner’s display was so impressive that Red Devils fans believe he’s ready for a role in the first-team when his loan spell at Forest is over at the end of the 2021/22 season.

And after watching his superb individual highlights, it’s hard not to agree with them…

Garner looks like a special talent and now he’s 21 years of age, United need to think seriously about handing him first-team opportunities.

The midfielder even managed to earn some praise from club legend Roy Keane, who was on punditry duty with ITV.

“He [Garner] has got a good partnership with Yates going in the middle of midfield, I think they complement each other very well,” the Irishman said after the game.
