Jak Alnwick targeted by Hibs as Aberdeen face pre contract transfer battle for St Mirren keeper
Hibs are set to rival Aberdeen in the fight to land St Mirren No. 1 Jak Alnwick.
The keeper is out of contract in the summer and is attracting concrete interest from the Premiership pair.
Alnwick has so far turned down a new deal with the Buddies.
He had indicated that his preference would be to return to England but Hibs and Aberdeen are now battling to keep him north of the border.
Dons boss Jim Goodwin has already opened pre-contract talks.
Goodwin sign Alnwick for St Mirren two years ago and he wants to work with the 28-year-old.

Hibs boss Shaun Maloney has also made his pitch for Alnwick.
They already have Matt Macey but Hibs want somebody who can fight it out with him for the Easter Road gloves.
Alnwick is a live option and a deal they are trying to get a deal over the line.
The Dons and Hibs have battled out for a number of players in recent seasons, including Aberdeen pair Ross McCrorie and Dante Polvara.
Aberdeen are also keen on St Mirren loanee Connor Ronan.
He is on-loan from Wolves and Goodwin wants to take him to Pittodrie in the summer.
