Jacob Ramsey sends Aston Villa fans into overdrive with 'special' England goal

Jacob Ramsey's stellar season continues with a goal for England Under-21s in their game against Andorra on Friday night.

The Aston Villa midfielder scored the Young Lions' second at the Vitality Stadium, a fine finish from range. England were playing in a European Championships qualifier and Ramsey was joined on the scoresheet by Folarin Balogun, Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Morgan Gibbs-White and Anthony Gordon.

Ramsey has established himself as a key player for his boyhood club Villa this season, appearing in all-but-two games for Steven Gerrard 's side. He is a favourite of Gerrard's and an important part of midfield alongside John McGinn and Douglas Luiz.

Ramsey has managed an impressive return of six goals this season and added a seventh with his goal against Andorra. "I know the level of the England players, I’ve been around it, and have enough experience to know it’s only a matter of time but let’s all be sensible and keep calm about it,” Gerrard said of Ramsey last month.

"I want him to make his own headlines with his football. He is a top talent, I’m loving every moment of working with him.
