Graeme Souness has slammed Manchester City's decision to splash out on Jack Grealish for £100 million last August. City paid the British record transfer fee to sign Grealish from Villa in August last year.

Eyebrows were raised at the time because City were also keen to sign a world-class striker and wanted to bring in Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur. Grealish has had to adapt to life at Pep Guardiola's City and has only managed five goals and three assists in 34 games this season.

Villa fans have been discussing a potential move for Liverpool striker Divock Origi in the summer. Origi is out of contract come the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer as things stand.

The Belgian international came off the substitute's bench during Liverpool's 2-0 defeat of Everton on Sunday and influenced the game as soon as he came on. Andy Robertson opened the scoring two minutes after the hour mark while Origi netted the second five minutes from time in a big win for the Reds in their Premier League title charge.
