'Grealish stayed' - Leeds United fans resigned to transfer for Aston Villa target

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips could reportedly be set to pursue a cut-price move away from the club this summer if Jesse Marsch's team suffer relegation.

Leeds currently occupy the final relegation spot within the Premier League after three defeats in a row plunged them into contention for the drop into the Championship. Both Burnley and Everton possess a game in hand on the Whites, which only worsens their prospects of remaining in the top flight of English football this season.

Relegation itself is disastrous for the club but the possible exits in terms of their squad will also be a pressing matter if the unthinkable does unfold. Phillips is one player that has already been heavily linked with an exit from the club with Manchester United, West Ham United and Aston Villa all reportedly registering an interest in the midfielder.

If Leeds escape relegation it is believed they have quoted teams a figure in the region of £60 million for England's 2021 Player of the Year. However, relegation would likely see Phillips leave on a cut-price deal given the inevitability of his exit. Leeds fans have already commented on a possible departure for Phillips, as he was pictured speaking to fans after the 3-0 defeat to Chelsea last night, where they seem resigned to losing his talents in the near future:
