Jack Grealish, John Terry and Aston Villa stars pile in as Derby County seal transfer

Jack Grealish and a host of Aston Villa players have wished Conor Hourihane well after his move to Derby County was confirmed today.

Hourihane became Derby's fourth signing of the summer after the arrivals of Tom Barkhuizen, Joe Wildsmith and Nathaniel Mendez-Laing. He was quickly followed through the door by James Chester and David McGoldrick.

On Instagram, Hourihane posted pictures of him being unveiled as a Ram, with the message: "Delighted to have signed for @dcfcofficial. Very exciting time for the club after the takeover being complete. Can’t wait to play a big part in the club moving forward again".

A number of recognisable faces from across English football were wishing him well in the comments, a reflection of his popularity among teammates past and present. Former Villa team-mates Jack Grealish, John Terry and John McGinn were among those to leave congratulatory messages, as was current Ram Jason Knight.

"Lovely," Grealish wrote, with a heart-eyed emoji and two red hearts. John Terry added: "Good Luck mate. What a signing for @dcfcofficial this is".

"Good luck Con," said Jacob Ramsey, while Ezri Konsa commented: "All the best bro". Cameron Archer said: "Best of luck Conor," while John McGinn used three applauding emojis in his response.
