Jack Cork, Josh Brownhill, Samuel Bastien and the Burnley dressing room reaction to Watford
Jack Cork is confident things will soon come together for Burnley after the Clarets suffered their first defeat of the season in losing at Watford on Friday.
The 1-0 reverse followed a familiar pattern of the opening two matches of Vincent Kompany's Burnley reign - with the Clarets seeing plenty of the ball and carving out a few chances but lacking the clinical edge required. It means Burnley have four points from three games ahead of a home date with high-flying Hull City on Tuesday night.
Cork didn't start at Vicarage Road but came on and performed well as the Clarets dominated the second 45 minutes but were unable to find a leveller. And the 33-year-old feels things will click for the Clarets once the longer the new-look side play together.
"I think it's important we don't get too disappointed from it, we have another game in four days to put things right," said the midfielder. "They're probably going to be one of the best teams in the league this season, so for us to come here and put in a performance like that, where they have created nothing really, apart from the goal.
"I don't think Aro (Muric) had a save to make, but we're creating a lot and it's just putting them chances away now and it will come. We were strong last week at home to Luton, but similar sort of story, we didn't take our chances.
"It will come, it will come, we are creating and we are playing well, hopefully it comes sooner rather than later."
Cork added: "We were in their half the whole second half really, I don't remember a time where they attacked us. It's not an easy place to come and unfortunately we didn't come away with the points.
"Their keeper (Bachmann) was really good today, he made some really good saves in the second half for them.
