ITV The Masked Singer fans say 'surely' as they speculate over Crab's hidden identity

The wonderful ITV competition The Masked Singer returned at the start of January and has now reached the fourth episode.

One celebrity gets unmasked each episode, and so far in the series we have said goodbye to Macy Gray, Prue Leith and Kate Garraway after unveiling their true identities.

Tonight's episode, Saturday 18 January, was a superhero special. Each of the contestants gave their best superhero performance - plus the judges and hosts were on theme too.

Jonathan Ross, Maya Jama, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan and guest Tom Daley are judging the competition, and Joel Dommett has returned as host.

On Saturday night, 18 Jan, Crab performed first and the speculation began immediately on social media.

Fans of the hit ITV singing competition have taken to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss who could be hidden behind the crab mask.

Many viewers have suggested that Crab could be American singer-songwriter Gregory Porter.

@hanmurr85 said: "Dressed crab definitely Gregory Porter", and @geordiegalg added: "Crab is such a good singer and I still say it sounds like Gregory Porter I'm just not convinced he'd do this show."

@CongreveDylan wrote: "I think crab is Gregory Porter", and @LaniBeno said: "Surely Dressed Crab is Gregory Porter".

The speculation keeps on coming. @Soapobsessive said: "Dressed Crab is definitely Gregory Porter!", and @DonnaARees added: "Ffs, it's Gregory Porter, why spin this s*** out any longer?!"

The Masked Singer will return next Saturday at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
