ITV Love Island fans figure out 'winners' as they predict one couple will survive after Movie Night 'lie' hit with complaints

Love Island fans think they have found the winners of the winter series after they were left with complaints over the return of the much-anticipated Movie Night. The controversial segment sees the islanders shown video clips of antics which occurred during Casa Amor.

It means the boys and the girls get to see what they may or may not have heard about from when the couples had been tempted by newcomers during their time apart. Last year's Movie Night, during the summer edition of the ITV2 dating show, saw watchdog Ofcom flooded with complaints and has since said it was the most complained-about TV event of 2022.

However, it appears it's the moment Love Island viewers have been waiting for - and have even branded the producers 'messy' for bringing it back. But its return to the screen did cause some complaints for viewers.

After Movie Night was teased at the end of Tuesday night's episode, viewers expected to get a full helping of drama during Wednesday (February 22) night's trip to the South African villa. However, despite all the build-up, Movie Night only lasted 10 minutes before being cut off, with the rest to air on Thursday night (February 23) instead with its return being teased as Movie Night: The Sequal.

But fans flocked to social media to complain. @asalllas tweeted: "Sat through the longest boring Olivia date for 2 FLIPPIN MOVIE CLIPS! #FUMING #loveisland #movienight." @reieesc fumed: "SO YOUR TELLING ME I SPENT MY DAY TELLING THE MIDDLE AGE WOMEN AT WORK HOW EXCITED I WAS FOR MOVIE NIGHT, JUST TO GET TWO CLIPS #loveisland."
