Manchester United 'considering' Kylian Mbappe swoop and more transfer rumours

Manchester United will reportedly 'consider' a move for Paris Saint-Germain and France sensation Kyle Mbappe, subject to a takeover of the club being completed.

That is according to a report by Football Insider, who claim that the Reds will 'plot' a move for the superstar if they find themselves under new ownership in the near future. United are set to be determined to strengthen their attacking ranks this forthcoming summer and have already prioritised the addition of a new striker.

United, despite Marcus Rashford's sensational form this season, have struggled to score goals at a rapid rate of knots and are in desperate need of extra firepower to ease the goalscoring burden on the England international. Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen of Napoli have already been identified as leading targets.

However, it is claimed that United could turn their attentions to a move for Mbappe, in the event of them securing new ownership. Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani confirmed that he had submitted an offer to buy the club from the Glazers last week, revealing in a statement that he would invest in just about every area of the club.

As ambitious as he might be, the prospect of United, should he complete a takeover, being able to lure Mbappe to Old Trafford strikes as being slim. He would command an astronomical transfer fee and is already on sky-high wages.
