ITV Love Island All Stars fans issue same complaint as new series starts
Love Island All Stars' second season has kicked off on ITV2, but viewers are expressing concerns over the show. The reality program, which premiered on Monday (13 January), brings back familiar faces such as Gabby Allen, Scott Thomas, India Reynolds, Luca Bish, and Curtis Pritchard to the villa for a second attempt at romance.
Although fans were eagerly anticipating the second series of the hit spin-off show, they soon took issue with some of the participants' ages. Social media platforms saw an onslaught of complaints, with many claiming that certain contestants were too mature to be part of the show.
One viewer said: "is this love island for aunties and uncles ? #loveisland," Meanwhile, another chimed in with: "who's idea was it to bring 40yr old marcel back? ? send that pensioner home to his kid #LoveIsland."
Furthermore, a fan said: "34 years old and on Love Island is crazy," and another added: "There should be an age limit on Love Island because for what reason are you here at 30+".
This season's lineup includes Kaz Crossley, Luca Bish, Marcel Sommerville, India Reynolds, Scott Thomas, Olivia Hawkins, Gabby Allen, Curtis Pritchard, Ronnie Vint, Catherine Agbaje, Elma Pazar, and Nas Majeed. Maya Jama, who debuted as the host last year, has returned for this season as well, reports Wales Online.
This marks the second outing for the All Stars series, with its inaugural season having been broadcast in January 2023. Tom Clare and Molly Smith emerged victorious from the spin-off show and impressively, have maintained their relationship one year on.
