ITV Love Island's Scott Thomas declares 'it's right time' to quit moments after row

Love Island star Scott Thomas made the decision to quit the villa due to struggling to find a "genuine connection" while in the villa on Sunday night.

The 36-year-old joined Love Island All Stars after first appearing in the villa during series 2 of the dating show. His last stint saw him coupled up with Kady McDermott but the couple called it quits after returning home.

Looking for his second chance at love, Scott joined the cast for the second series of All Stars and first coupled up with India Reynolds. Their relationship got off to a rocky start after she picked him as being the "most calculated" in the villa during a game of Truth or Dare, which then made him admit that this had given him the "ick".

India was dumped from the villa as Scott showed interest in bombshell 29-year-old Tina Stinnes who had history with the Thomas brother. However, she grew worried Scott wasn't as involved in their relationship as he should be.

Tina and Scott both appeared on the same series of Love Island, and Tina admitted that the pair definitely had "unfinished business" which is why she decided to return to the villa.

After confronting him about his behaviour where she said: "If there’s something missing, I think I just need to know whether there is progression in this?". Scott responded: "Something is holding me back from going to the next level…I want to give you that, but I can’t if I don’t fully feel it. You fully deserve that."

Scott got into an argument with Elma after he overheard her discussing his situation with Tina. As the Islanders voted, Elma admits she’s "riddled with guilt" for sending home Kaz, Montel and Nas to try and help Scott and Tina work. Scott made his decision to leave the next day.
