ITV I'm A Celebrity's Danny Jones 'burst into tears' as he reveals question he was asked after win
Danny Jones has told how he 'burst into tears' when the cameras stopped rolling as he was asked questions about himself following his I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here win.
The McFly star was seen being crowned king of the jungle back in December after signing up for the ITV reality show's 2024 run. He made it to the final three alongside TV personality Coleen Rooney, who finished runner-up, and third place star Reverend Richard Coles before he was confirmed to have won the series.
In the immediate aftermath of his win, with hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly, Danny cried and said it felt "amazing" and "surreal". He called his campmates "unbelievable" because "they made it so easy for us to get through the hard times".
He added: "I've had some of the hardest times I've ever had, and some of the highest of highs. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I gave my all in there, gave myself, and it's a lovely feeling to be liked."
Now, Danny has spoken about what happened when the cameras stopped rolling. After being reunited with his family, including his wife Georgia and their son Cooper, the musician had to be given a medical check and has told how he also spoke to the show's therapist.
Speaking on the High Performance podcast, he explained: "There was a moment after the show, it was in the little hut and we'd walked out the jungle and I'd just been crowned king, I was on an absolute high. I had the crown on still. I went into the welfare tent area bit and she said: 'How are you?' and it's just me and the therapist."
He told how he tried to encapsulate his feelings, telling how he said to her: 'I think I feel on top of the world, I think I'm alright." The therapist went on to ask how Danny how he felt being voted
