ITV Good Morning Britain viewers issue same complaint minutes into show

On Monday morning, viewers of Good Morning Britain saw Ed Balls and Susanna Reid broadcasting live from Westminster.

This follows the Labour Party's victory in the General Election last week, which has sparked a period of MP transition.

Yet, with Ed's wife Yvette Cooper now appointed as Home Secretary, ITV audiences are questioning whether it's appropriate for him to continue his presenting role on the show.

Twitter was abuzz with comments, with @MikeSalmon1402 posing the question: "Is Ed going to continue to be able to broadcast and remain impartial to this govt, now that his wife is a Labour minister?"

Another Twitter user remarked: "Seems inappropriate that Ed Balls is still presenting on @GMB now that his wife is Home Secretary. Surely they should at least try to have some impartiality on the show?" reports the Mirror.

A concerned viewer stated: "Ed Balls in the morning will he take the new government to task considering his wife is Home Secretary."

@Andywilson56 raised a point on Twitter: "Just a question ... but how can Ed Balls still present GMB ... I thought the presenters should not be biased to any party! !"
