ITV Emmerdale star 'confirms' April's fate and says it's 'difficult to comprehend'

Emmerdale star Mark Charnock has teased fans about April's fate as the show "confirmed" that the teenager will be found in upcoming episodes, with a special episode airing on Tuesday 4th February.

ITV released spoilers that in upcoming scenes viewers will learn about what happened to April Windsor. The teenager went missing on Christmas Day morning after a string of events led to her struggling to come to terms with new information.

Before she went missing, April was told how her mother Donna Windsor really died and that Marlon had lied to her. In the midst of that chaos, Ross Barton was encouraged by Marlon to end his friendship with April - meaning her only ally in the village had also abandoned her.

As the weeks followed, no one was none the wiser as to where April had ended up until CCTV footage of her in Leeds was uncovered. However, since then there have been no further leads on where she could be.

Mark Charnock who has played the role of Marlon Dingle since 1996 has shared his thoughts on the special episode that will look into April's story. He commented: "It's incredible and she's incredible in it and it fills in all the gaps the audience have had so far. I'm really proud of the show for doing it.

"I think it's a wonderful piece of drama that's going to be really significant going forward. You see the alternate life that she's been living that will come to be a major problem for Marlon going forward because he can't comprehend it."

During upcoming scenes, fans of the ITV soap will watch as PC Swirling knocks on at the house and asks Marlon and Rhona to sit before revealing that April has been found. The twist? We don't yet know whether that means dead or alive.
