ITV Emmerdale fans point out Gabby's date blunder as she meets Laurel's man Kit

Emmerdale fans were left stunned when Gabby Thomas' mystery date was revealed to be her step mum's new love interest Kit. Following her split from Jai Sharma, viewers have seen Laurel get the hots for ex-Marlon Dingle's physiotherapist.

But it looks like there could be drama for the two women as it appears Kit isn't just interested in Laurel. During Tuesday night's edition of the ITV soap (August 8), viewers watched as Gabby scrolled through a dating app with Laurel in the hope of reigniting her dating life after having her son, Thomas.

The pair were having a giggle as they swiped left and right on the dating app before they were interrupted by Gabby's mum Bernice Blackstock. Gabby, 20, admitted to not mentioning she was a mum of the app due to the response she may get. Meanwhile, Bernice managed to insult Laurel about her toyboy fling with Kit that she left.

After she was gone, Gabby matched with a man called Chris on the app, telling her mum he is 'older' but the pair soon appeared to hit it off as they arranged a date for later that evening. Meanwhile, Laurel met up with Kit in the pirate ship for some - ahem - fun.

But when she offered to sew his suit lining ahead of Marlon and Rhona Goskirk's wedding later in the week and asked him to come over that evening, he made up an excuse

Later in the episode, Laurel bumped into Gabby in the village all glammed up and ready for her date. After a quick change Gabby hurried off before telling Laurel to stop watching as she made her way to meet 'Chris' but with Laurel out of sight, Kit appeared and introduced himself to Gabby.
