ITV Dancing on Ice's Amber Davies addresses real reason she was emotional amid skate-off survival
Dancing on Ice star Amber Davies has shared the real reasons she was left emotional as her latest night at the rink took an unexpected twist. The West End star was tearful after performing to Spice Girls’ Mama in dedication to her mother, who watched in the audience, as part of the show's 'personal week'.
She and professional skating partner Simon Proulx-Senecal received 33 points for their routine from the ice panel - Johnny Weir, Oti Mabuse, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean - which was slightly lower than their recent performances in the ITV skating competition.
And the pair later had to fight for survival when they found themselves in the skate-off against former EastEnders star Ricky Norwood and partner Annette Dytrt. The latter couple had earlier skated to Three Little Birds by Bob Marley And The Wailers, receiving 30 points, their highest score of the competition.

Amber and Simon and Ricky and Annette had to perform again for their place in the competition with the judges unanimously decided to save Amber and Simon and despite being axed from the series, Ricky said of his last performance: "We’ve got our best scores, it’s a fantastic show."
Meanwhile, over on social media, some were concerned for Amber as she was seen being so emotional live on air. On Dancing on Ice's Instagram page, one viewer asked: "Anyone know why Amber was so upset tonight?"
As fans explained it was the song choice and what it meant to her, Amber also got involved as she said: "It was a skate for my mum and I’m due on my period." Meanwhile, her mum Sue also shared
