ITV Coronation Street fans say 'there has to be' as they 'work out' Alina Pop return twist

Coronation Street fans have doubled down on their latest theory that a tragic death is on the cards. Earlier this week in the ITV soap, viewers saw the return of Alina Pop, with the role being reprised by actress Ruxandra Porojnicu.

Alina left Weatherfield three years ago following the end of her short-lived romance with Tyrone Dobbs. As fans know, the mechanic had an affair before embarking on a relationship with Alina back in 2021.

It resulted in him leaving Fiz Stapes after years of an on-and-off relationship but later, when she found someone knew, Tyrone's jealousy was evident. After a tricky relationship, with Alina suffering a miscarraige after a fire was started by Tyrone's daughter Hope, the character eventually decided to end their romance.

But Tyrone was blissfully unaware that Alina was pregnant. Corrie viewers saw her leave Weatherfield and headed for the airport, where she was seen with a hand lovingly placed on her stomach as she ordered a tomato juice, heavily hinting that she was keeping the unborn child.

Then in scenes aired in the ITV soap this week, Fiz bumped into Alina in Frecho's car park, with the latter confirming she was only back as she was called as a witness in a human trafficking case and would be leaving the following day. However, Fiz saw a picture of Alina with a little boy on her phone who she brushed off as being her nephew.

But unconvinced, a shaken Fiz headed home to tell Tyrone what she had discovered and how she thinks he has a son. She told him Alina was staying at the Chariot Square Hotel and that she was leaving the
