“It’s scary when this is on your own front door": Live updates as counter-terrorism police carry out another raid in Greater Manchester

Counter terrorism police have carried out another raid in Greater Manchester tonight (Monday, May 5).

Armed police, including a number wearing equipment identifying them as Counter Terrorism Specialist Firearms Officers, targeted a property on Inkerman Street, Hyde.

It is unconfirmed at this stage whether the raid is connected to counter-terrorism arrests across Greater Manchester on Saturday that saw three Iranian nationals arrested in Rochdale, Stockport and Manchester with the support of SAS soldiers.

Another resident of Inkerman Street said she saw “what she thought was the army with guns” running down the street. “There were so many of them,” she told our reporter “My neighbour looked out and saw all
