It's funny how the Celtic Gloat Brigade suffer amnesia over multiple failures when lording it over Rangers – Hotline

Football without away fans is nothing to steal a famous saying and the Hotline isn't happy with Aberdeen 's decision to slash allocation for visiting supporters.

One caller has already pledged to adopt his own silent protest against the Dons. Gerry Murphy, Giffnock, said: "What are Scottish football clubs doing cutting away tickets to three hundred? They are ruining the game as there’s no atmosphere anymore, it’s dull and boring and there was a time when they were so grateful for away fans they used to cram them in. I won’t be watching anymore."

Drew Ferguson, Oban, said: "On the face of it, it appears to be a great idea to restrict visiting fans when there has been an upturn in season ticket purchases as has happened at Aberdeen. Unlike Rangers when the going gets tough, Aberdeen fans will leave like rats in a sinking ship." Gary Stevenson, Newtonhill, said: "The English pre-season matches in the United States have been fantastic viewing, great pre-season evaluations and well supported. Surely the Scottish clubs should follow suit to gauge the interest in our game. Shipping six goals to a Japanese outfit cannot possibly be good for our leagues."

Arrin Geddes, Irvine, said: "Hotline regular Alfie Mullin should maybe be showing his Argos bag to the new Rangers number one. "In the time Joe Hart has been at Celtic he’s played 104 games, kept 46 clean sheets and won five medals. In the same period Jack Butland has played 19 games and kept four clean sheets but facts aren’t Alfie’s strong point."

Henry Moffat, Stirling, said: "What a Hotline giggle from Alan Frett who said the only time Rangers were Scotland's biggest club was the period before their liquidation when they bought success with money they never paid back.
