Isthmian Premier wins for Chatham Town, Folkestone Invicta and Cray Wanderers as 10-man Herne Bay held to goalless Isthmian South East draw at Broadbridge Heath

Forward Sam Folarin got the game’s only goal in early high-fliers Chatham’s Isthmian Premier home victory over Cheshunt on Saturday.

Folkestone picked up their first league win as they saw off hosts Canvey Island in a 2-0 triumph.

Striker Ade Yusuff and substitute Josh Strouts struck in the second period for Jay Saunders’ side, who also played 19-year-old Ebbsfleet loanee midfielder Maxx Manktelow for the first time in the game.

Cray Wanderers are second - above third-placed Chatham on goal difference in the early standings - after they edged a five-goal home game against Wingate & Finchley.

Substitute George Brooke won it in the 76th minute for Neil Smith’s side.

Also on target for Cray against Wingate & Finchley, who had Ben Watt dismissed for two bookable offences, were Nods Bobomurodov and Frankie Raymond with a penalty.

Ramsgate were beaten 2-0 at home by early leaders Dulwich Hamlet, with ex-Dartford winger Luke Wanadio netting in either half.

Dartford captain Mike Olarewaju was sent off in the first half of their 2-0 loss at St Albans.

Cray Valley were inched out in a five-goal game at Whitehawk despite Matty Vigor, alongside an own goal, giving Steve McKimm’s men hope.

An 83rd-minute goal consigned Welling to a defeat by Lewes at home.

In Isthmian South East, midfielder Scott Heard was sent off for two cautions at the start of the second period as Herne Bay held Broadbridge Heath to a goalless draw.
