Israeli pundit and ex Celtic transfer target rejoices in Hoops misery as he screams in bizarre live TV reaction

Former Israel international and one-time Celtic target Itay Shechter mocked the Hoops' Champions League exit live on TV after their Bayern Munich heartache.

And countryman Shechter - who is now a TV co-commentator after winning 27 caps for his country and also playing for clubs like Kaiserslautern, Maccabi Haifa and Beitar Jerusalem and who once claimed that Celtic made him an offer when he was at Hapoel Tel Aviv, couldn't hide his delight when Alphonso Davies netted that injury time equaliser to send Bayern through 3-2 on aggregate after Nicolas Kuhn's opener.

He screamed: "Yes! Come on! Go home Celtic. It's even better when the goal is scored as late as that!"

He then bizarrely started singing: "Glory be to God, always loves me, and always has only good things for me."

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's sports director Max Eberl admitted they "struggled" against Celtic after their Champions League fright. The German giants' sports director accepted it was a difficult night for his club, who were overwhelming favourites to qualify.

He said: "We struggled against Celtic. We actually got off to a good start. We had more chances to score in the first few minutes. But then Celtic had two or three chances too and you could see that we were a bit off the mark. In the second half, we did much better, created chances and kept the opposition at a distance.
