The result condemned Brendan Rodgers' runaway leaders to a second successive defeat to their bitter rivals, but was insignificant in terms of the outcome of the title race.

Celts still hold a chunky 13 point lead over the Light Blues and are just four wins away from clinching a 55th league crown.

This weekend, they return to action against a Hearts team with plenty to play for as Neil Critchley's side seeks to cement their place in the top six and continue their battle for a European spot.
