Ireland win attracts a peak of over a million viewers

Saturday's coverage of Ireland's Guinness Six Nations win over England on RTÉ2 peaked at 1,008,000* viewers at the end of the game (18.32), while the Twickenham clash drew an average of 775,000 viewers, with a share of 61% of those watching television. The match generated 103,000** streams on RTÉ Player.

France kept their Grand Slam hopes alive with victory over Wales on Friday in a match watched by an average of 296,000 viewers, which constituted 22% audience share, with a peak of 364,000 (21.43%).

Saturday GAA Live on RTÉ2 featuring Kerry v Mayo was seen by an average of 362,000 with a 30% share peaking at 461,000 (21.06%).

This weekend sees the climax of the Six Nations, with the crucial France v England game live on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player when Jacqui Hurley will be joined by Jamie Heaslip, Jerry Flannery and Stephen Ferris from 7.35pm.

Earlier on Saturday, Wales face Italy at the Principality Stadium, with live coverage on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player from 2pm.

Saturday's busy day of live rugby begins at 11.45am as Daire O'Brien is joined by CJ Stander for live coverage of Emirates Lions v Munster in the URC from Emirates Airlines Park on RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player.

Tonight's Against the Head (8pm, RTÉ2 & RTÉ Player) will take a comprehensive look back at all the weekend's Six Nations action.
