Colm O'Rourke's Allianz Football League finals verdict
Division 1 final: Kerry v Mayo, Sunday, 4pm
Jack O'Connor has made no secret of his desire to win the league. He has done that on several occasions and won All-Irelands later that summer.
It depends on what team Kerry put out, but they have been fielding strong teams in the league up to now.
Mayo have been incredible in the way that they have turned out players and the whole league has been about experimentation, yet they end up in the final. It just shows the strength of the panel that they have.
A lot of their young players have really come to the fore during this campaign. It must be hard for James Horan to pick his strongest team.
But there’s only one David Clifford and he could be the difference between the teams.
It would have been better if this game had been in Killarney, never mind the Munster Championship match. Because when you bring Kerry to Croke Park at this time of year, not too many travel.
Mayo will come in their thousands but I don’t think there’ll be much atmosphere in the stadium.
Verdict: Kerry
Division 2 final: Roscommon v Galway, Sunday, 1.45pm
This is going to be a proper match, depending on Galway’s attitude.
The Tribesmen have one eye on the championship in three weeks’ time and won’t want to take any chances on players that might be carrying slight knocks.
Roscommon have had a brilliant league. They’ve been a bit of a yo-yo side but are a team on the move at the moment.
Verdict: Roscommon
Division 3 final: Louth v Limerick, Saturday, 4.45pm
Louth have had great impetus since the arrival of Gavin Devlin and Mickey Harte and they beat Limerick by two points when they met in round three.
Both teams can look forward to playing the likes of Dublin and Meath in Division 2 next year.
Verdict: Louth
Division 4 final:
