Ireland to face The Netherlands once more after World Cup draw
Ireland are set to take on foes Netherlands once more following today's World Cup draw, with Germany and Chile completing Pool A.
The sides have met regularly over the last few years, with the Irish suffering defeats in the last World Cup final, as well as last summer's Olympic Games in Japan.
The world number one Dutch side are also the joint-hosts of this year's tournament, alongside Spain.
The Green Army had a memorable run to the final back in 2018, recording their best ever result at a World Cup.
After the disappointment of failing to emerge from their pool in Tokyo in 2020, the squad regrouped and confirmed their place at this year's World Cup by winning the qualifier event in Pisa last October.
The action is due to get underway on 1 July with Amstelveen the host venue for Ireland's group.
