IPL 2022 auctionlive updates Day 2: Liam Livingstone proved to be the first big draw on day 2 as there was an intense bidding war for the England batter and he was eventually bought for Rs 11.5 crore by Punjab Kings. The action began on Day 2 of the mega auction and Aiden Markram became the first player who went under the hammer and he was bought for Rs 2.60 Crore to Sunrisers Hyderabad. Big international stars like Marnus Labuschagne, Aaron Finch and Eoin Morgan have gone unsold so far. Ajinkya Rahane was bought by KKR for his base price of Rs 1 crore. Proven IPL talents like Jayant Yadav and Vijay Shankar were bought for cheap by Gujarat Titans. On day 1, Avesh Khan became the most expensive uncapped player in the history of IPL auction as he was sold for Rs 10 crore to Lucknow Super Giants. Ishan Kishan remained the biggest buy of day 1 as Mumbai Indians paid a whopping Rs 15.25 crore to keep him. An intense bidding war was witnessed for Deepak Chahar, with 4 teams locked in a big fight. He was eventually kept at CSK for Rs 14 crore. The evening session saw IPL teams splurge astronomical amounts to get their hands on uncapped players. Shahrukh Khan was sold for Rs 9 crore to Punjab Kings from a base price of Rs 40 lakh.
