Inter Milan Fans Give Jose Mourinho Spine-Chilling Reception At San Siro, It Will Give You Goosebumps

Inter welcomed Mourinho’s Roma side to the San Siro for the quarter-final tie on Tuesday, with the Special One facing his former side for the first time since 2010.

Roma boss Mourinho signed for Inter in 2008 and led the San Siro outfit to a remarkable European treble in 2010.

The 59-year-old Portuguese manager left Inter and signed for Real Madrid in 2010, but Mourinho is still held quite closely in the hearts of Nerazzurri fans.

Footage has now emerged of roaring fans inside the San Siro applauding and singing as Mourinho made his way out for the Coppa Italia match.

Journalist Tancredi Palmeri tweeted that an “emotional” Mourinho took his place on the bench before he ‘stood back up and sent kisses’ to the Inter fans.

Mourinho lifted the Italian Super Cup and Serie A title in his debut season with Inter before capturing the Scudetto, Coppa Italia and Champions League in the following campaign.

Inter are the first and only Italian team to have captured a continental treble.

Mourinho insisted that he was “unselfish” with his desire to lead Inter to the Champions League title and that’s why the moment “felt so special.”

“That is why I felt so special. I felt special because even though it was a very important moment in my career too, I managed to keep being humble and calm. I was paying more attention to others’ reactions than mine.

“It was a beautiful feeling because these guys had this effect and power on me.

“I have heard them many times saying I was very important to them, leaving a lifetime mark in their personal experiences. But I want to see it in another way. They were the ones, important to me.”
