Intense Liverpool negotiation finally nearing conclusion as hugely promising Mohamed Salah update surfaces

Mohamed Salah is ready to make a compromise to ensure he spends the rest of his prime years at Liverpool, according to a report providing the latest twist on his future.

There have been many doubts over where Salah will be playing in the future recently. His contract with Liverpool is due to expire in the summer of 2023. Having established himself as one of the world’s best players, any new deal would require a significant financial commitment.

Salah has insisted his demands are not extortionate, but the situation has still been at a stalemate. A recent edition of Paper Talk carried news that he could be holding out for a transfer to Barcelona.

However, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has since denied a move to La Liga really appeals to Salah. Likewise, Ekrem Konur is reporting that the Egypt international wants to continue with Liverpool.

Going into more detail, the Daily Mirror have reported that Salah has indeed decided his preference is to stay at Anfield. What’s more, he could compromise upon the terms of any new deal he would be in line to receive.

Instead of holding out to match the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo as among the highest earners in the Premier League, Salah could settle on the £400,000-per-week terms that have been on the table.

In addition, he could sign an extension for four years, rather than the three that had been touted.

That would mean the ex-Chelsea winger would be tied down to Liverpool until the age of 34. In other words, he would be spending the rest of his prime years in the red shirt.

Having already won five trophies with the club – who are in contention for more this season – Salah would then be hoping to add to his glittering cabinet.
