'Inspirational mum with a heart of gold' died days after being discharged from hospital

A mum from Chorley, described as having "a heart of gold", sadly passed away eight days after being discharged from the hospital.

Sally Ann Hall was admitted to hospital on April 20 last year after she took an overdose but was later discharged. But just over a week later, she was rushed to hospital again on April 28, where she tragically died.

Following her mum's tragic passing, Sally's daughter Cordelia initiated a fundraiser to afford her mother "the best send-off". On the GoFundMe page, which raised £2,740, Cordelia wrote: "Despite her struggles, Sally inspired an incredible number of people in her life, finding much strength and hope through recovery."

"My mum always supported others, so now I'm asking for your support to enable me, Brandon and all those who love her to be able to give Sally the correct goodbyes."

"Anything will be greatly appreciated and it would mean the world to be given the opportunity to say our last goodbyes to our mum."

Meghan Topping posted: "Sally you were a beautiful
