Inside Sides, the new Manchester fried chicken spot from YouTube stars The Sidemen

It's already attracted a cult following thanks to its YouTube star backers, The Sidemen, but Sides - their fried chicken concept - is now ready to welcome Manchester crowds for the first time as its opens its brand new Arndale shop.

Opening its doors on Saturday morning (November 25), the tasty new chicken spot represents the second location to open outside of London after its Merry Hill store launched last week. Having attracted mile-long queues it's clear there is a rather strong appetite for the fried chicken venture.

Much like Popeyes opening back in September, punters queued for hours for a first taste, even camping overnight to get their hands on the much-loved crispy fried chicken. Sides also made further headlines after The Sidemen were advised not to come to the Merry Hill opening due to the council forecasting that 10,000 people could turn up.

Hoping for a little bit more of a quiet - but no less exciting entrance - Manchester's new Sides site opens within Manchester Arndale on Saturday. The flagship store joins newbies like Lazy Sundae in the shopping centre's £11m Halle Square, adding to the mix of food operators in the new development which also includes PizzaLuxe and Archie's, as well as Barburrito.

The Arndale branch of Sides will seat approximately 40 covers, and it will also create 35 jobs for the local area. Stepping into the space straight off from the main drag of shops, you're greeted with a vibrant and bold aesthetic that feels right on brand for the popular
