Inside Pedro Caixinha's Rangers as 'really strange' trait left Ibrox stars bemused

Rangers' players were left confused by Pedro Caixinha 's dressing room debrief style claims Graeme Murty.

Caixinha endured a nightmare stint in the Ibrox dugout back in March 2017 as he took the reins from caretaker boss Murty.

But just 27 matches later Murty was back in charge of Rangers as the axe fell after a disappointing draw with Kilmarnock.

When the Portuguese boss left Scotland, the club were languishing in third eight points behind league leaders Celtic and five behind second-placed Aberdeen.

During Caixinha's tumultuous period in charge, Murty acted as a bridge between the previous regime and the new coaching team.

However, he reckons players found the lack of a post-match analysis following a game confusing, with Caixinha looking to keep a clear head after a game.

Murty told BBC Sportsound: "I spent some time with Pedro on his staff.

"I went back to the academy but also helping Pedro.

"I was observing him, but helping him as one of his coaches, seeing what he was trying to implement and making sure there was that conduit between the players and the staff.
