Inside Alfredo Morelos' Celtic torment as Rangers troll in chief Scott Brown names 3 ways he 'got in his head'

Former Celtic captain Scott Brown has declared he always knew how to get into Alfredo Morelos' head and torment the ex-Rangers man on derby day.

The Parkhead legend and the Colombian were involved in several tussles throughout the years as the Glasgow rivals jousted for Scottish Premiership supremacy – with Brown continuing his wind-up merchant tactics against the Light Blues during his brief stint at Aberdeen to round off his playing career. Now having moved into management and taken on punditry roles, he has reflected on the battles with his Rangers rival.

He admits there was a back and forth between the duo – but feels he got the better of the head-to-head with Morelos when either man crossed the Glasgow divide. Reflecting on the 3-2 derby victory over Rangers back in 2018 – which Brown named his best ever Hoops' win – a second half clash with the Gers' was flagged up the ex-skipper. Brown told Celtic TV: "There was obviously a lot of talk about myself and Morelos.

"I knew I could get into his head. Whether it was talk, whether it was a little tackle or a little niggle here or there, I got in his head quite a lot. I knew he was going to bite most of the time.

"Small things. Whether it was trying to get body contact or with the foul here I have pushed him, he slips and he makes the most of any small situation. I always managed to play on that, but I also let the referee know what he was doing as well."
