'In a heartbeat' — Man City fans divided over Leroy Sane Bayern Munich situation

On Sunday a number of reports emerged suggesting that Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane — formerly of Manchester City — is unsettled at his club and could seek a transfer over the summer.

The German wideman played for the Blues between 2016 and 2020, joining City from Schalke 04 before returning to the Bundesliga with Bayern four years later. However, having struggled for consistent form over the past two seasons and with the expectation that Bayern could now sign Sadio Mane from Liverpool, it is plausible that Sane could leave the Bavarian giants.

Given how important he was to City in 2017/18 and 2018/19 — two of the best seasons in City's history — it's perhaps not surprising that some City supporters have begun excitedly floating the idea of an unlikely reunion between the Blues and Sane.

However, not all City fans are convinced it's a good idea. Here's what people have been saying on Twitter.

@Quinny854: Come home my sweet Prince @leroy_sane. Love you mate

@Chrisbluemoon89: Would have him back in a heartbeat. Don’t think Pep trusts this guy though.

@thecityzensfc: Nahh personally dnt want to see this guy back..the ship has sailed and he thought Bayern were better than us

@BlueCityBrain: I can see the appeal but it's really just nostalgia. I for one do not miss his inconsistency where he gives you 3 games of 2/10 performances then drops a 10/10. There was no in between for him.
