Imola GP: How can I watch the race in the UK this weekend?

Formula 1 heads to Imola this weekend for the first European Grand Prix of the season.

The sport spent several years away from the circuit but the pandemic brought it back, and it now has a place back on the calendar in the early rounds of the season, as it used to in the past.

Certainly, it’s always nice to see F1 at a Grand Prix circuit that has a huge amount of history behind it, and hopefully we’ll see another brilliant race play out as we did last year in 2021 – with Sprint also involved this weekend on the Saturday.

How can UK fans watch the fourth race of the season on TV, then? We take a look…

Sky Sports is the main place to be this weekend for every session.

Simon Lazenby will be anchoring whilst David Croft will be leading commentary with them joined by pundits and reporters like Martin Brundle, Ted Kravitz, Rachel Brooks and Anthony Davidson delivering top insight and detail.

Sky use their Sky Sports F1 channel to cover every session of every race weekend live, from practice on Friday through to the race on Sunday, and have exclusive rights over all but one race this year; the British Grand Prix.

For those without Sky, Channel 4 show extensive highlights of the race every Sunday evening and their coverage also deserves plenty of credit, with the likes of David Coulthard providing analysis.
