Martin Brundle has hilariously awkward interaction with Venus Williams at Miami Grand Prix
Martin Brundle’s pre-race grid walk at the Miami Grand Prix was nothing short of hilarious as the Sky Sports commentator attempted to speak to a number of high-profile celebrities.
Brundle is known for his grid walks, which have been customary ever since the 1997 British Grand Prix and his interactions with famous figures have resulted in some iconic moments over the years.
The former F1 driver has interviewed everyone from Ozzy Osbourne to Shaquille O’Neal, though he is also used to being snubbed by a select few. Last year, at the US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, Brundle was infamously denied the chance to speak to rapper Megan Thee Stallion, after her bodyguards intervened.
In Miami, Brundle once again delivered box-office entertainment. Aside from mistaking NFL star Patrick Mahomes for Duke basketball star Paolo Banchero, he also had a tricky encounter with Venus Williams, where both appeared lost for words.
Venus was walking along the grid when Brundle confronted her for an interview.
“Good to see you,” he said. “So tell us, what do you think of this event here in Miami?”
Venus Williams said "we are done bruh"
