‘Immediately got a problem’ - Journo shares the complicated dilemma Paratici could face at Spurs

The wage demands of Tottenham Hotspur target Paulo Dybala could cause unrest for star striker Harry Kane, transfer insider Dean Jones has claimed.

The Juventus attacker’s contract is set to expire in the summer, despite repeated attempts by the Turin club to rectify the matter.

A breaking news story from reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has enhanced this rhetoric, claiming that after a meeting with the player’s agent on Monday morning, Juventus and Dybala have failed to come to an agreement over a new deal. As a result, the 28-year-old is set to leave the club as a free agent upon the expiry of his contract.

According to Italian outlet Tuttomercato, the Lilywhites are one of the clubs who are likely to make a move for the Argentine in the summer.

With the possibility of Dybala signing on a free transfer, his £36m Transfermarkt value could allow the player to demand huge wages from his next club.

Jones believes that this could be an issue for Spurs, as it may lead to Kane becoming unsettled with his position being threatened at the top of the tree in N17.

Speaking with GiveMeSport, the journalist claimed: “If they were to try and sign Dybala and he was demanding more than Harry Kane, then they’ve immediately got a problem on their hands because Harry Kane has to be the club’s highest earner.”

According to Salary Sport, Dybala currently earns £220,000 per week. This trumps Kane’s £200,000 weekly salary, which sees him ranked as Tottenham’s highest earner.

Whilst it is possible that this situation could be rectified with Spurs looking to open contract negotiations with their star striker at the end of the season, the England could use it to once again push for a move away from the north London club.
