"Imagine" - Journalist drops intriguing Newcastle claim involving Willock, Fraser and Eddie Howe
Newcastle United duo Ryan Fraser and Joe Willock are benefiting from working under another British coach in Eddie Howe and are likely to really listen to him, claims journalist Dean Jones.
The two had their struggles under Steve Bruce earlier this season but have really picked up in recent weeks.
Very, especially the former. Under Bruce this term, Fraser failed to come up with a single goal contribution and was often used from off the bench by the Englishman.
However, since Howe’s arrival, the Scottish winger has scored twice and provided three assists, with two of those goal contributions coming in the recent 2-1 win over Brighton.
His form has helped Newcastle climb all the way into 14th, while he is also up for Premier League Player of the Month for February, epitomising his improvement.
As for Willock, his attacking productivity has also gone up under Howe. The English midfielder recently grabbed his first goals of the campaign after scoring in back-to-back games against Brentford and West Ham last month.

Jones thinks Howe’s appointment has only been positive for players like Fraser and Willock.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the insider said: “You can imagine that on a man-to-man level, the players would really, really listen, especially the ones who are British and looking to make a name for themselves still in the game, whether it’s at Ryan Fraser’s level or Joe Willock’s level.
“They’ve both got such huge potential that has kind of been passing them by a little bit in recent times.”
Absolutely. When Howe took over, Newcastle were 19th and without a win in the Premier League.
However, they now have six victories to their name
