"Preparing..": Craig Hope drops exciting NUFC claim that'll leave supporters buzzing - opinion

An exciting claim has emerged on Newcastle United academy midfielder Elliot Anderson regarding his international future…

Daily Mail reporter Craig Hope has claimed that the Three Lions are attempting to secure his services ahead of Scotland.

The attacking midfielder is currently on loan at Bristol Rovers and he is now being tipped to play in the top-flight with the Magpies for Eddie Howe’s team, according to Hope.

He Tweeted: “Exc: England preparing move for NUFC’s Elliot Anderson, who has been involved with Scotland U21s, as former super scout Graham Carr compares playmaker to Peter Beardsley & says he’s ready for Premier League now after being blown away by teenager at weekend.”

The journalist then quoted Carr as saying: “He is classy. He receives the ball like Peter Beardsley. He kills it & moves it all in one motion. That is a gift. He stood out like a sore thumb, miles above anyone else. I got in the car afterwards & started ringing people to talk about him.”

Newcastle supporters will surely be buzzing with this news for multiple reasons.

Magpies fans will love to know that they have such a talented young prospect to look forward to seeing play in the coming years. He is a local lad from Whitley Bay and this may give supporters an extra reason to root for him because he is ‘one of their own’.
