Iga Swiatek: How many titles has the world number one won?

One thing fans aren’t used to seeing is Iga Świątek lose in a tennis final.

The world number one, who currently has a mammoth 5,600-point lead at the top of the WTA rankings, had her final-winning streak broken by Barbora Krejčíková at the Agel Open.

But despite falling short of the mark in Ostrava, Świątek’s record in tennis finals is still an astonishing one.

Since making her professional debut in 2016, the Polish trailblazer has competed in 19 finals across the ITF circuit and WTA Tour.

Świątek has won 17 of those finals, making her winning ratio an incredible 89 percent.

Here’s a look at every final Świątek has competed in since she made her debut at just 15 years of age.

Date: October 2016

As a plucky youngster, Świątek started her career on court as she meant to go on.

Her first ever professional tournament saw her breeze through the qualifying stages in Sweden before beating Romania’s Laura Ioana Paar in the final to secure her first title.

Tournament: ITF/Tennis Europe ($15,000) — Winner

Date: February 2017

Świątek played two other tournaments between her first two professional titles. Her second triumph came in Italy after reaching the final without dropping a single set.

She beat home favourite Martina Di Giuseppe of Italy in the final 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.

Tournament: ITF/Tennis Europe ($10,000) — Winner

Date: May 2017

The Pole won her third ITF title in Hungary, where she beat Gabriela Horackova in straight sets in the final.
