Iceland Cricket's Brutal "More Expensive Than A Beer" Dig At KKR's Rs 24.75 Crore Buy Mitchell Starc

Iceland Cricket took a sly dig at Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) pacer Mitchell Starc after his disastrous outing with the ball during the IPL 2024 match against RCB on Friday. After conceding 53 runs on his KKR debut against SunRisers Hyderabad, Starc was taken to the cleaners by the RCB batters, especially Virat Kohli. So far, Starc has not been able to live up to his Rs 24.75 crore price tag, which made him the most expensice buy in the history of IPL Players Auction. He has conceded 100 runs so far in two matches and is yet to take a wicket.

Taking to social media platform X, Iceland Cricket poked fun at Starc, labelling his spell in IPL 2024 so far "more expensive than a beer" the Scandinavian country.

"More expensive than a beer in Iceland," Iceland Cricket retweeted a post on X.
