Ian Wright has praised Martin Odegaard's effortless style of play ahead of a huge clash for Arsenal against Leicester City.

The Norwegian maestro has been in excellent form of late as the Gunners aim to close in on a Champions League spot. Mikel Arteta's side are one point ahead of rivals Manchester United in fourth, with three games in hand over the Red Devils.

Ralf Rangnick's United also play seventh-place Tottenham on Saturday, in what will be another important match-up in the race for top four.

Arsenal are in a strong position going forward, and Odegaard is one of many players to thank for that.

Their most recent victory came against Watford, where the 23-year-old played a major role in the 3-2 win, scoring an elegant first goal that has led to Wright's praise.

"We have to mention Odegaard as well, did you see Odegaard for that first goal? The backheel he did to get in and then to finish. Odegaard man, he’s floating on the pitch at the moment, he’s floating over the grass," the Arsenal legend said on the Wrighty's House podcast.

"Everything you see about the way Saka is playing, Martinelli’s finish, the way Odegaard is playing. It is happening, there is a vibe and they are starting to believe."

Odegaard is already paying back a large chunk of the £30million price the Gunners paid for him in the summer, which is beginning to look like somewhat of a bargain.
